Subject	Should timing belt be changed just because of age ?

Message	I put about 1000 miles a year on the TT (not my daily driver). Since the last timing belt, maybe 5000 miles....but the belt is now 5 years old. The car doesn't sit for long periods...I run it regularly. To what extent should the timing belt be changed just due to age ? How old is too old ?
